We offer 12 and 6 month well-rounded actors training intensive for International students.

The Michelle Danner Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts, one of the top acting centers in Los Angeles, offers sponsorship to international students who aspire to begin, improve, or polish their acting skill set, and expand their acting resumes. Through the M1 Visa Program international actors are able to study & work in beautiful, world famous, Santa Monica CA!

This acting school offers individual acting classes and a 6 or 12 month well rounded actor training conservatory for actors interested in learning the craft at a more accelerated pace. The techniques are diverse and encompass the following schools of acting: Meisner, Hagen, Strasberg, Chekov, Adler, and the Stanislavsky Technique. It also provides M1 visa sponsorship for international actors.

Our 6 to 12 month programs are an amazing opportunity to explore the acting scene in Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world.

Many current working actors attend classes which make for great networking. Our unique varied level classes, many taught by renowned acting coach and Co-Founder of the Center, Michelle Danner, can be customized to your specific needs and goals. Wherever you are in your acting journey, we provide the tools to move to the next level.

Our school is located at Edgemar Center for the Arts, a 2 theater and art gallery complex in Santa Monica. The Well Rounded Training Intensive gives students the opportunity to build their resumes and IMDB credits, through practical training and our various casting opportunities. We also offer a Breaking into the Industry Seminar, which provides you with an understanding of the business side of acting. So that you can be ready when your program is complete and begin your work as an actor once approved for the OPT (Optional Practical Training). You will also be provided with a list of agents, and managers that represent international actors and how to best use them to your advantage.

Breaking into the Industry: The Insiders Guide


The must know business aspects of launching your acting career and marketing yourself. Class size is kept small for personalized questions. Resume critique included

Voice and Speech Class


Have you experienced one or more of the following? People can’t hear you on stage- your voice has no power. You get emotional and your voice closes or pitches up. You have trouble connecting emotionally to material. Your stomach tightens right before you perform and you can’t breathe. Your voice is breathy-throaty-weak or high pitched.

Scene Study


A scene study class is offered to beginners, intermediates & advanced students.

Actors are taught the foundations of technique through opening emotional exercises which are used to warm up the actor’s instrument and teach the tools that will be applied to their scene work. Students explore how to apply their back story to the characters they are creating by working on contemporary and classical scenes and monologues. Emphasis is placed on learning how to make the best physical, emotional, and vocal choices.

Script Analysis


Analyze scripts and work on scenes from different genres of screenplays, television, and plays. Students will learn and work through a thorough comprehension of breaking down story, characters, conflicts, and language from dramatic and comedic scripts. There will be in depth discussion of all the tools an actor applies to create their performance. The class will help to acquire the discipline to make powerful choices whether you are auditioning for a project or have booked the part.

If you are interested in a short term stay, we offer a 6-week to 3-month program. This does not include the M1 Visa since it is a short-term stay.

You will be allowed to apply for the OPT which will allow you to work in your chosen field and get paid, after your Well Rounded acting program is completed.



Michelle Danner is coach to Hollywood’s most prominent actors. Students have included Chris Rock, Salma Hayek, Zooey Deschanel, Penelope Cruz, James Franco, Isla Fisher, Christian Slater, and more. A prolific actor and director, Michelle has worked on over 30 plays and musicals in Los Angeles and New York, and she has directed two feature films: “How to Go Out on a Date in Queens,” starring Jason Alexander, and “Hello Herman,” starring Norman Reedus. Once we receive all of your information and you are officially accepted into the program and your payment is fulfilled, the I-20 will be processed rapidly.

You will be allowed to apply for the OPT which will allow you to work in your chosen field and get paid, after your Well Rounded acting program is completed.

Please be advised if you are applying for an M-1 visa, there is a required SEVIS I-901 fee that must be paid prior to your appointment at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate. Information about the I-901 fee is available on the web:

The I-20 does NOT constitute a visa. It is your responsibility to take the necessary steps to complete the visa application.
